Community Resources & Opportunities

St. Catharines & Niagara

It remains crucial to acknowledge that the Niagara Region is located on the traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabe peoples, including the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. This land is governed by the Dish with One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant, an agreement to share and care for the land and its resources in peace. When engaging with local initiatives, communities, and spaces built on this land, we must also recognize the enduring presence, knowledge, and contributions of Indigenous peoples. Alongside recognition, real reconciliation comes from a commitment to ongoing learning and advocacy.

The Arts and Cultural community that I dream of for the Niagara Region is inclusive, diverse, and celebratory.

— Victoria Ashleigh Rose

Throughout my involvement in Niagara’s arts, nonprofit, and community sectors, I have had the opportunity to connect with many incredible organizations, initiatives, and support services. This page brings those resources together in one place to help others discover the opportunities and community networks that exist throughout our region.

Here you will find links to local arts organizations, community groups, social support services, accessibility resources, volunteer opportunities, and inclusive spaces. My hope is that this directory makes it easier for people to access information, build connections, and find the programs and organizations that best meet their interests and needs.

Communities thrive when people know where to find support and how to get involved. This page is one small contribution toward making those connections more visible and accessible.
